A New Day

All of my family have blogs now, so I figured I'd better get one. I may or may not update frequently. For now I will update whenever a new idea for a story hits me. I will also do a sort of serial story that I will update whenever I think of something new. I will begin in this entry.

Four Stones
A young man entered the room. He had unassuming short black hair and brown eyes. He wore a plain brown robe that gently brushed the stone floor of the room. He looked at the table, where there were four stones. A delicate tree carved of jade, a very plain gray river stone, A piece of crystal clear quartz, and a piece of what his master assured him was petrified wood. At the table sat a old man heavily wrinkled and very thin. "So what's so special about these stones?" The man questioned his master. The old man lifted his eyes from the table, his face crinkled, blue eyes twinkling as he saw him. "Ah, Cadoc, always curious, always impatient. Right now? They are nothing more than what they appear. A delicate jade tree, a crystal clear piece of quartz, a piece of petrified wood, and a plain gray river stone. It is not what they are, Cadoc, but what they will become. What I, or perhaps we will make them." His eyes returned to the table ignoring the confusion that was clear Cadoc's eyes. He gently touched each stone, and turned them over in his hand before putting them down. Then he turned away from the table and Cadoc and looked out the one window toward a clear blue lake.
